Extraction Method:
The oil is extracted from the leaves of the spearmint herb by the conventional process of steam distillation.
Uses:
1. When your mind is tired and in need of stimulating and upliftment, then spearmint oil is the one for you, and although it has very many properties in common to that of peppermint oil, it contains only small amounts of menthol and is far less harsh on the skin and ideal for use in children.
2. It is very useful to deal with digestive problems including flatulence, constipation, diarrhea and nausea, as it relaxes the stomach muscles and also relieves hiccups.
3. For female health it can help to stem the flow of heavy periods and leucorrhoea and releases urine retention.
DIY (do it yourself):
1. Massage oil mix; 5 drops Spearmint,3 drops Basil,3 drops Lime,3 drops Rosemary,3 drops Eucalyptus Globulus,3 drops Bergamot,1 tablespoon coconut oil.
Blends Well With: Eucalyptus, Lavender, Ylang ylang, Rosemary.
Cautions:
It is considered non-toxic, non-irritant and non-sensitizing oil. Spearmint tea might increase kidney damage. And liver damages if taken in high volume.
