Description:
Cedarwood Virginian is actually a species of Juniper tree, as reflected in its Latin name. It has an aroma similar to a freshly sharpened pencil, although it is more complex. Cedarwood Virginian is popularly used in products formulated for men, due to its woody, outdoor scent. Also known as the Virginia cedar, Eastern red cedar and pencil cedar, Junipers Virginians native to the eastern United States and adjacent Canada. As far as essential oil production is concerned, the United States is the sole producer.

Fresh dry, balsamic, woody, a pencil like odour.

Uses:
1. Cedarwood Virginian Oil is reputed to calm nervous tension and states of anxiety. It is an expectorant and useful in treating hemorrhoids, deterring moths and other insects, and will act as a mild astringent.
2. It is a very powerful antiseptic, fungicidal and anti-seborrhea (helps with dandruff, hair loss and oily hair). Consumers will also see it in men's toiletries, in products used to combat acne, and in products designed to relieve muscle and joint pain.
DIY (do it yourself):
1. Mix together 1/3 coconut oil with 12 drops Lavender, 12 drops Cedarwood, 6 drops Orange essential oils. Place in glass storage container with an air tight lid. Massage on bottoms of feet or back before bedtime.
2. Diffuse with Sandalwood BMV to enhance moods.
Blends Well With: Bergamot, Clary Sage, Cypress, Eucalyptus, Juniper Berry, Rosemary, and floral essential oils.
Cautions:
Non-toxic but may irritate sensitive skin. Avoid during pregnancy. Always test for skin sensitivity prior to widespread use and use on the feet when possible. Excessive use of any oil can lead to skin sensitization.
